What is hypnotherapy and how does it work?
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind. During a session, you remain in control while the hypnotherapist helps you explore and address specific concerns.

Will I divulge secrets or be under your control?

Absolutely not. Hollywood myths have created a different picture of hypnosis than what it really is. You can’t get stuck in trance, you won’t do anything morally objectionable to yourself, and I can’t ‘make you’ do anything.
Do sessions happen in person or remote?
Both! Most session happen over Zoom, but as I travel across North America for speaking engagements, I am available to conduct in person sessions.
What does a hypnotherapy session feel like? What will I feel?
It is different for different people, but in general, you’ll simply feel relaxed.

Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept or file insurance or third-party claims. Insurance companies generally categorize hypnosis as an alternative therapy, which often results in them not covering the costs. However, you may submit the invoice receipts to your provider and inquire if they offer any coverage. This does not guarantee that your sessions will be covered, so it is essential to verify this directly with your insurance provider.
But if this prevents you from being able to get the help you need, please contact me and we can make something work.
How can I know I will safe with you? Do you record the sessions and send them to me?
All sessions, including your initial consultation, are recorded for you. You will be provided that recording for your review and information.
You can also use session recordings for ‘on your own time’ self hypnosis sessions!
Recordings are encrypted and kept on a secure server.
Information on how I conduct hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy is different from traditional ‘talk therapy’; this means that we begin making significant changes from the very first session, and if we manage to achieve our goal in one go, that’s great (which often happens)!
You don’t want to be stuck in a cycle of ‘do the bare minimum, come back next time’, and I don’t want that for you either. I can’t promise the exact number of sessions we will need to have in order to get you where you want to be, but the average is four or fewer.

I do not set a price for my hypnotherapy services. Instead, after each session, I’ll send a follow up email that includes an optional donation link. This keeps this powerful healing service available to all, regardless of financial barriers.
